Thropton Show 2026

HORTICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY 109TH ANNUAL SHOW AND SPORTS

Show Tent

Whether you have a garden full of prize-winning veg, a talent for baking, or a knack for floral art, the Thropton Show is your chance to shine. Our show is built on the passion of local people, and every single entry—from a single giant onion to a hand-knit jumper—makes the day more special.

Why take part?

  • Celebrate Your Hobby: There is nothing like the pride of seeing your hard work on the exhibition table with a “Highly Commended” card next to it!

  • Keep Traditions Alive: By entering, you’re helping to preserve a rural heritage that has been the heart of our village for generations.

  • Fun for All Ages: We have classes for everyone—from children’s crafts to senior categories. It’s a great way to get the whole family involved.

  • Friendly Competition: It’s not just about the prizes; it’s about the “tent talk,” sharing tips with neighbours, and seeing the best of what our community can produce.

First Time Entering? It’s Easy!

Don’t be intimidated by the rules—we were all beginners once!

  1. Pick your class: Find something you enjoy doing.

  2. Bring it along: Arrive between 7:30 am and 10:30 am on show morning.

  3. The Reveal: Join the crowd at 1:00 pm when the tent opens to see how you did!
