Our main ring is a whirlwind of tradition and high energy. You can feel the tension during the Cumberland Wrestling, marvel at the speed of the Simonside Fell Race as runners tackle the rugged terrain, and join in the cheers for the fan-favourite Dog Rally and the sheer chaos of the Terrier Racing. For those who prefer a test of steady nerves and skill, the Quoits competition will be in full swing, keeping a classic local pastime alive.
The entertainment doesn’t stop at the ring! We are thrilled to welcome the legendary Duke Lupin to bring a touch of cowboy flair to the day, while the wonderful Alnwick Playhouse Band—along with many other performers—provides the perfect musical backdrop to your afternoon.
After the huge success of last year, the Craft Tent is back and bigger than ever. It’s the perfect place to get lost among a wide variety of stalls, showcasing the very best local artisans and makers.
