Thropton Show 2026

HORTICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY 109TH ANNUAL SHOW AND SPORTS

Meet the Team

The Thropton Show doesn’t just happen; it is built on the dedication, passion, and hard work of a small group of volunteers who give their time to keep our traditions alive.

While the committee leads the charge, they are supported by a wider circle of friends, family, and neighbours. Their contribution is the backbone of this show.

Although we would love to thank everyone individually for your help, support and the heavy work involved in setting up the show, there are too many to mention by name. We are very lucky that we have so many of you (and you keep coming back)!

So a big thank you from us all.

A Note of Thanks: We are incredibly grateful to the Younger Family for their continued generosity in allowing us to use this beautiful site for the Thropton Show.

Meet the Team - Thropton Show Committee

Behind every prize-winning vegetable and every cup of tea served in the marquee is our committee. From the first planning meetings in the depths of winter to the final clean-up of the showfield, these are the people who make it all possible.

Your Show Needs You: Help Us Keep the 109-Year Tradition Alive!

The Thropton Show is more than just an event; it is a vital piece of our village’s history and the highlight of the autumn calendar.

For 108 years, our community has come together after the summer harvest to showcase the very best in vegetables, flowers, cookery, and handicrafts. However, to ensure this long-standing tradition continues, we need your help.

Join the Committee

While we have a dedicated team working hard behind the scenes, we are currently looking for fresh faces to join us. To find out more about the vacant roles or how you can assist, please contact the committee at [Insert Email/Phone] or join us at our next meeting.
